A Perfect Friday

Today was our first Quilt Guild meeting for the new year.  We did not have a program after the meeting so after coffee and... I went home.
My new yarn arrived today.  It's beautiful in lemonade, spring green, Fl green and lavender sachet.  I plan to make Prayer Shawls from all of those colors eventually.  I'm currently working on something, but can't wait to get to the lemonade colored yarn.  I saw someone at the PS retreat using that yarn and it was so pretty.  So, hopefully, it'll be done sometime before the spring along with the spring green colored one.
I spent part of the afternoon researching an activity for our red hat group.  The plans for that aren't definite yet.   I"m hoping that we can do the activity in December,  weather permitting.   Tomorrow E. and I are going down the shore.  There's going to be an Open House on Sunday.  I hope that the rain holds off this time.  Sunday is church, and then I have plans to visit a store that I was invited to visit in Lawrenceville.   When I get home I'll have to go to the craft store with my 40% off coupon to get some things for the art class.
Tonight I'm going to watch a new tv show staring Tom Selleck.  I use to watch him in Magnum PI many years ago.  This new one looks good, too.  I'll knit while I'm watching it.
I'll probably read until it's time for that show.  I'm reading "The Devil In The White City" on my Kindle.  One reason that I like the Kindle is that I can make the writing larger so that it's easier on my aging eyes.   I hope that reading doesn't put me to sleep tonight.  That's so annoying.  I guess that remains to be seen.
