Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! It's nice to see so many people decorating their houses for this holiday. People have really gotten into the spirit of it all. I loved this holiday as a child. It's not as much fun answering the doorbell when it rings, but it's only one day.
I bought a TV yesterday. Now when Mom comes to visit she doesn't have to read a novel a day to entertain herself. I'm expecting the delivery to be this coming Wednesday. I hope that they come early in the day. The TV itself was a bargain. All the things that go with it plus the fees for setting it all up are outrageous!! I'm sure it will be worth it all when I can view my favorite shows again. I guess that I can consider it an early Christmas present to myself.

Early Bird

In a few hours I'll have to move my car from the lot. I'll start my errands, running around town. I plan to purchase a tv today. I'm hoping that it can be delivered early next week. After it's been delivered I can have the cable set up and start watching my favorite morning program which is the only thing I've missed. I'll go visit Mom today and I plan to take my knitting so I can get at least 1 pattern done on the baby afghan. If I feel ambitious, I'll do 2 patterns. I'll have to do her grocery shopping today. Tomorrow it will be too crazy to go to the store. They've invited the Trick or Treaters to come into the store. Since I'm wide awake, showered and fully dressed, I get impatient waiting for the stores to open. I want to get out and about now. I'll cool my heels and start to knit I suppose.

Quilting and Knitting Together

Today we got together at a friend's home to quilt or knit. I got a lot done on the last baby afghan for the year which I'm knitting. There was a lot of chit chat today. I had to be careful that I didn't miscount as I was knitting. We also looked at a few magazines that were passed around with quilting ideas in them. Someone had photos of a new baby in her family and a couple other people had "show and tell" to let everyone see what they worked on since we last met. We broke for lunch at about 1:00pm. The "Bee" started to break up at about 2:00pm. Some of us had to go home, but when I left there were still four people sewing away.

Need An Upbeat Day!

Tomorrow must be an upbeat day! There's a lot I'd like to get done after I return home from our quilting session. I've been kind of dragging today since I lost so much sleep the day before yesterday. That's not a good thing because it's almost like wasting a day. I had washed all the doilies and I'd like to return them to the various surfaces tomorrow. I may be hosting MJ on Tuesday so I want to get a head start on cleaning some of the little things which usually go undone because they are unnoticed. For instance, the front step as you walk into the house needs to be scrubbed. The tract where the shower door slides needs to be attended to and the tract where the sliding door slides also needs attention. Those are the little things which I miss when I'm doing the weekly cleaning. Those are the little things which make a big difference.
I need to buy another filter for the vacuum cleaner. I'll start vacuuming the cat hair off the recliner and the cat's favorite wing chair when that's replaced. I love cats but I hate the cat hair on everything. Life would be much easier if one didn't have pets to clean up after. They do bring joy to one's life, however. So, I guess I'll put up with the cat hair as long as they do give me joy.

Another Sleepy Day

Today is a "sleepy" day. It's raining again so they didn't do the sealing of the cracks in our court. I haven't done much, probably because I missed so much sleep the night before last. Classical music is playing in the background on the CD player. I've made a few appointments by telephone. I did speak with Mom at lunchtime. She's probably napping now. I'll call her again at suppertime to check in on her. Tomorrow is another day when our small quilt group gets together at the home of one of our members. I'll be knitting again instead of quilting because I want to get the baby afghan completed. If I can get 2 patterns completed while I'm there, I'll be happy. Tonight I'll do the "no brainer" knitting project which doesn't require counting the stitches. I'll bet I'm more than half done with the first prayer shawl I'm knitting. Can't wait to see it completed and with the label on it. Wish those labels would arrive. I'm also anxious to see them. Last night's knitting chain session was quite enjoyable. One of the ladies finished one Prayer shawl and handed it in last night. It is a beauty. She did it in crochet stitches. Two of the members of our group were not present last night. I feel that I'm getting to know the ladies as we sit around the table and knit.

Wide Awake, Again

Another night when the clock is past mid-night and I can't sleep. They say when that happens you should get up and do something else and after awhile try the sleep thing again. So here I am writing about nothing inparticular and everything in general. Even the classical music didn't put me to sleep this evening. I'll be sorry tomorrow when I start to get sleepy during my daytime activities. The alarm's set for 6:00am so I can move my car in time. Don't want it to be towed because I forgot to get it off the court in time. There's always something!

Where Does The Time Go?

Today went quickly. I started the morning doing some errands. After lunch I had a medical visit and didn't arrive home until about 5:00pm. I spent some time with Sandy and Coco who missed me today. I've been knitting for the past hour while listening to some light classical music on the cd player. I have to remember to remove my car from the parking lot early tomorrow morning because they're going to work on our court. I need to go to the grocery store for a few items so that's where I'll be headed. I'll return a book to the library on the way. Later in the morning I'm going to a friend's home to play MJ. Tomorrow night is the Prayer Shawl Ministry meeting at church. It'll be a full day, but it will be enjoyable none the less. I'm about half way finished with the prayer shawl I'm working on. I'm anxious to get it done because I have a lap blanket planned for someone which I'd like to start working on. I don't know who the recipient of the prayer shawl will be yet. When I finish the baby afghan, I'll be making a lap afghan for my mother. She wants the same pattern as the baby afghan, but I'm going to use a different type of yarn for hers, and it will be burgandy and pink. Wednesday is a free day for me. I hope to get the house in order and do a lot of knitting. I found a tv on sale which I might buy on Friday this week. They will remove the old tv for free. That sounds good to me. Then I'll need to have the cable company reinstall the cable box and get the tv working. I'm hoping that I can get that done by next weekend.

Busy Days

It's been a busy few days. I went to Mom's and did some cleaning and some food shopping for her. Last night I got a lot of knitting done on both projects. I went to church this morning after which I went to Radio Shack to buy a new battery for my phone. I picked up a cinnamon spice candle for the candle warmer in a craft store nearby. I'm home now and have checked my email and phone messages and snail mail. The cats have been wonderful. I opened the doors for them for awhile when I got home. They are sleeping nearby as I type. I'm sure they'll be climbing into my lap when I start knitting again. I have some laundry in the washing machine which will be done shortly. I plan to relax and knit for the rest of the day.

Banana Bread

Tonight I'm making Banana Bread. I have 4 very overly rip bananas and I don't want to just throw them out. I've done some knitting already, done the laundry, and had my hair done. No, I haven't made the applesauce cake today. The bananas are calling to be made into something so the applesauce cake will have to wait for another day. I'm waiting for the butter to soften before I begin. That will make the whole process alot easier. It'll probably take about 15 or 20 minutes to get it into the oven and then an hour and 20 minutes to bake. It'll be out of the oven before bedtime. While I wait for the butter to soften I'll continue to knit. I've never made banana bread before I hope it turns out to be tasty.

Today's Plan

Eureka! I actually had 8 hours sleep last night. I feel great this morning. Today's plan is to have my hair done, come home and eat lunch and then make the applesauce cake for Mom. I have a bit of laundry to do and then I'll dust the LR/DR area. When that's done, I'll spend the rest of the day knitting.

Knitting Starts Now

After lunch today I fell asleep in the recliner. Before I knew it, it was 6:00pm. I hadn't even planned to sleep. I guess that all that wonderful playing and walking on such a beautiful day brought on the long nap. I feel great now. My feet no longer hurt, my pink cheeks have lightened and I'm ready to start knitting. I did manage to get in a phone call before sleep overcame me so I will have my hair done tomorrow. I'm so happy that they could fit me in. The rest of my day tomorrow is unscheduled. I'll plan the day tomorrow.

A Great Golf Day

Beautiful day for playing golf. We played 9 holes. I'm kind of overheated not badly, but my feet and legs are okay. The feet hurt a bit from all the walking, but now that I took my shoes off I'm sure I'll recover quickly. I loved being out there today. It took us 3 hours to play 9 holes. We just took our time and even let 2 groups play through so we wouldn't feel rushed. I plan to knit for the rest of the afternoon.

A Good Rest

Last night I fell asleep on the couch. I awoke at 2:00am and shut off the lights and went to bed. Naturally, I couldn't fall back to sleep so I got up at 3:00am. It's 5:35am now. I've had my shower, eaten breakfast, opened and closed the golf cart, and found the tees and balls I'll play with today. All that remains is to iron what I'm going to wear. Did I ever mention that I hate ironing? As I sit here sipping my coffee, I'm getting excited about the day on the golf course. We may only play 9 holes since it's the first time walking the course today. Maybe my feet and legs will not be tired by then and we'll try to finish the 18. Time will tell. The weather will be nice. I'm sure it'll start off chilly, but it promises to hit 68 degrees today. That's my kind of golf day.

Plans Change

The plans for today were changed this morning. I took Mom to the doctor, we came home and ate lunch then I scrambled around getting everything together to put in the car so I could take her home. Her oxygen machine needed to be replaced and they were making the delivery this afternoon. Right now, I'm exhausted. I returned home at 8:00pm this evening. I am playing golf tomorrow. I have to iron my outfit and practice opening and closing the golf cart which I've never used yet. You see, we are walking the course tomorrow, not riding. Before I head out to play golf I have a doctor appointment myself. It's going to be rush, rush, rush, tomorrow because I have to get gas for the car and stop at the bank. I'm hoping for a restful night's sleep tonight. I'm going to be like Scarlett and say, I'll think about it (all) tomorrow.

Tomorrow's Another Day

Tonight I promised that I'd make an applesauce cake. Unfortunately, I'm too tired to do that so I'll have to do it tomorrow. I have yet to do any knitting for the day. I'd like to get at least 1 row done on each project before bedtime. It's remarkable that the cats have left me alone for most of the day. That could be because I was here all day and didn't leave them for any length of time. It's kind of nice not to have a fur ball on your lap when you'd like to be up and doing things around the house. I intend to relax for the rest of the evening.

Too Much Stuff

Today I spent all day cleaning the bedroom. All that's left is to vacuum the floor and clean the closet. I will save the closet for another day. That will be a big undertaking since I have to decide what to give away. That's not an easy decision and I wish I didn't have to make it, but I don't have enough room for all that's in there. Tomorrow I have to take Mom to a doctor appointment and Wednesday I'll play golf. So, maybe the end of the week I'll finish the closet. Sandy and Coco slept on the bed all day as I dusted and straightened. I'd rest inbetween dusting the collectibles that are in there. The sheets have been changed and the bed has been made. I have a Christmas Quilt and a summer blanket that I need to store somewhere. Where, is the question??? Hopefully, one of these days I'll figure that out. In another month and a half it'll be time to put the Christmas quilt on the bed. It feels good to be almost done in there. There is too much stuff and not enough closet space.

Day Is Almost Done

Day is almost done. I did get a lot of knitting done on both the afghan and the prayer shawl. Mom's been reading all day. We've had dinner and the dishes are in the washer. There are a couple of hours left for knitting before I call it a day. It was a nice day today despite the rain outside.

Have All Day

Love that's it's only 12:20pm. I went to church and read at the 8:30am mass. When I returned home I started the roast for dinner. Mom and I had coffee and I managed to knit for awhile before getting interrupted by Coco. I have all afternoon to work on the baby afghan, with hopefully, few interruptions from Sandy and Coco.

Events of The Day

The food shopping is done. It poured while I came and went to the store. I picked up D. for a visit and have taken him home already. Can't believe it's almost supper time. The laundry is getting done. I completed typing the minutes from the meeting and sent them off to our President. I hope they meet with her approval. Coco and Sandy have demanded attention and gotten it. Now, as they nap somewhere I'm going to try to get some knitting done. I'll have to stop shortly to prepare supper, but we just had a spot of tea which should hold us for awhile. I'm glad that it finally stopped raining. I got an email from a friend inviting me to play golf next week. I hope that I can get to do that. Maybe it'll work for next Wednesday.

Saturday Plans

There was not much knitting done tonight. I'll have to make up for lost time tomorrow. There are no definite plans for Saturday. I would like to knit. I may go to get another skein of yarn for the Prayer Shawl I'm working on. It requires 4 skeins instead of the 3 which were required for the first shawl I had planned to make. I have a 40% off coupon for the yarn. I may finish the minutes for our meeting. Of course there's always straightening up to do. I will do some laundry tomorrow also. I'd love it if the sun would shine tomorrow. May everyone Iknow have a nice weekend.

The Guild Meeting

The meeting went well this morning. When I arrived home I started to write up the minutes of the meeting so I wouldn't forget what had transpired. There are only 2 committee reports I have to fill in the information for.
The speaker we originally had scheduled had to cancel for health reasons. In her absence she sent one of her books entitled, "PINK RIBBON QUILTS A book Because of Breast Cancer". It was raffled off at the meeting and I was the one who won the book. A friend of the author came instead as our speaker today. She spoke about "Threads of the 1930's" and showed us all kinds of quilts made during the 30's. It was a very interesting and enlightening presentation.
While I was typing the minutes from my notes, Coco and Sandy would stop by to interrupt me because they wanted to sit on my lap. Once I shut the computer, they left my lap. They just couldn't stand that I was preoccupied with something else besides them. The same thing happens when I'm knitting, that's when they want attention from me. I finally finished typing from my notes at 5pm. I had started at 2pm with 2 interruptions. I didn't realize that it would be so time consuming. Maybe as the year goes, I'll get quicker doing this. I certainly hope so.

The Gang's All Here!

Mom's reading, Coco and Sandy are cleaning themselves and I've spent a bit of time knitting. I was interrupted by Coco because she wanted some attention. Usually when I'm busy doing something is when she wants to sit on my lap. All knitting stops when that happens. She also jumps on my lap while I'm on the laptop computer. Luckily, she is preoccupied at the moment and I'm not being interrupted from typing. Tomorrow I have a Quilt Guild Meeting. I hope that I'm wide awake when I go there since I have to take the Minutes of the meeting. I've never been a secretary of an organizatione before so I hope that I'm up to the challenge. I believe that our program after the meeting was cancelled tomorrow so I should be able to get home in the early afternoon. I'll leave Mom something for lunch just in case I'm detained. It will most likely rain heavily tomorrow and also be windy. I hope that we don't lose any power during the storm. That's quite inconvenient. Perhaps I'll be able to get more knitting done tomorrow than I got done today.

Another Rainy Day

It's raining again. We're suppose to have a Nor'easter. Rain for the next three days, they say. I brought Mom home with me today because she has a doctor appointment on Tues. I stopped at the library to pick up some books for her to read. She likes mysteries and thrillers. I got 5 books. She'll need something to read since I no longer have a TV. It's snug and warm in the house. After dinner I'll be knitting up a storm. I'm working on 2 projects each day. The first is the baby afghan for a December birth and the second is a Prayer Shawl for someone. I will also start a lap blanket for another person who I know is ill. We're hoping that father will bless the prayer shawls and lap blankets before we give them to the ill people on our list. Perhaps he'll say a "healing mass" and some of the recepients may attend if possible and also be blessed. My only regret is that my fingers don't work fast enough to get everything done by tomorrow. It'll be a couple of weeks until the afghan and the prayer shawl are done. It'll be a bit longer for the lap blanket. I get all excited about the things I'm making and I can't wait to see the finished product.

A Good Meeting

We had a productive meeting. Three of the older ladies are expert knitters. They will be teaching the rest of us little tricks from time to time I'm sure. They already showed us how to begin each row when using a straight needle. It's a way I wasn't aware of before. It gives the edge of the piece a nice finish. One of the older woman took my yarn and rolled it into a ball so that it was easier to use. The yarn comes out the center of the ball. My yarn was coming from the outer side of the skein. There are 8 of us in the group. One of the woman didn't come tonight because she was ill. I told the leader of the group that I would bring a refreshment next time because she provided one at the last meeting when she baked an apple cobbler. She baked chocolate chip cookies for tonight. I can't promise that I'll bake something homemade, but I will provide something. The pastor stopped by to say "hello". One of the older woman told him that she wanted to teach him how to knit. He said, "Oh, yeah." and walked away. It's fun to meet with a group and knit. There wasn't too much talking while knitting. It's necessary for me to stop knitting before I speak so that I don't make any mistakes. I'm a quiet knitter.

Tonight

The Knitting Chain meets tonight. I'm looking forward to going. It'll be interesting to see what type of yarn everyone has chosen for their Prayer Shawl and what pattern they have decided to use. The last meeting only lasted for an hour and a half. I can't see myself staying for more than 2 hours tonight since I have the longest ride home. I'm hoping that it doesn't rain, although it's already getting dim outside like it's about to do something. It's only 4:20pm. The sun shouldn't officially set until 6:08pm. Sunrise is a minute later each day and sunset is a minute earlier than the day before. It'll be like this until December 21st when the days will begin to get longer. This is the dark time of the year. It's a good thing that the season of fall is so beautiful and that we have holidays to look forward to because otherwise it could be quite a downer. When I return tonight I'll write about our meeting. That's it for now.

Enjoying The Fruit

It felt so good coming home to a house that was in order. All the time I spent cleaning last week was well worth the effort and the time it took. I know that the dust will fall again and soon I'll be doing it all over again, but for the time being I'm enjoying the fruit of my labor.
I'm thinking that it will be nice to have a party or 2 to go to this holiday season. I usually watch all my Christmas videos to get in the mood but that's out this season because I don't have a tv. It's really better to experience the joy than to watch a rendition of others doing so. I've always thought it would be nice to have a Caroling party. I've imagined it as first having people over for cocktails at about 5pm and then going caroling for awhile and coming back for dinner. I wish that I lived in a type of neighborhood where doing something like that would work. It could be a pot luck dinner, it wouldn't have to be fancy at all. ( I'm filled with good ideas.) I just don't have the means or wherewithall to bring them to fruition.

A Magic Wand

We went down to visit Mom yesterday. I arrived home at about 1:30pm this afternoon. I did a bit of knitting on both projects and played some very relaxing music. I fell asleep for a couple of hours, probably because I was up so late last night. Tomorrow I will finish the bedroom for once and for all. I just wish I had someplace to put some of the summer clothing other than storing them in the bedroom somewhere. There's just not enough space. I feel like throwing out all the tee shirts I've collected over the years and starting over fresh next spring and summer. I know I won't end up doing that, however. Some of the things I need to store are just "knock about" type things for hanging around the house. I will still need them next year because that'll save the newer, fresher outfits for going out and about. The dresses I can hang in the closet. It's a big project and one I don't enjoy doing. I WILL enjoy it when it's all DONE! I wish I had a magic wand to wave over the bedroom to get everything in it's proper place. No such luck!!

All Ready

The vacuuming is done, the cake is baked. I just need to put the icing on it now that it has cooled. I knitted for a while. I cast on the stitches for the Prayer Shawl and knitted one row. I picked up the baby afghan project and knitted on that for awhile. The house looks great! I'm glad that I did most of the cleaning yesterday. I'm not as exhausted today. Now I can enjoy our Pinochle game tonight.

Cleaning Day

Today was a cleaning day. All that I have left to do is to vacuum the LR/DR tomorrow. I will also make a cake for the Pinochle group which will be playing here tomorrow night. I'll need to go out to buy some soft drinks and a few other items. I still see many "cleaning chores" which I'd like to get done next week. Washing the crystal is one chore I'd like to get done. There is the punch bowl and the wine decanters and a vase or two, also an ice bucket. When I see them sparkling I'll know the place is clean. I moved 2 pieces of furniture around in the kitchen and washed the floor. The room appears to be more spacious now. The last chore I'll do next week is to put away the rest of the summer clothing and take out whatever hasn't been taken out for the fall/winter yet. Then the bedroom too will sparkle. During my break times I'll knit the last baby afghan I'm working on. I'll also start the Prayer Shawl for the Knitting Chain. We have a meeting on Tuesday. Friday is our Quilt Guild meeting. I hope I'm successful taking notes for the minutes. I've never done this before. There's always something to do. There's never a dull moment, not even without the tv. If the weather cooperates I should start walking every day. I need to lose some weight and that would be a good way to get some exercise. I think that I'd have more energy if I started an exercise routine and was able to lose a few pounds.

Another Wonderful Day

What a wonderful day today was. We traveled to meet friends for tea in So. Jersey. It was a lovely visit. We've scheduled another tea for sometime in December up here in our area. I got home at about 4:45pm. I didn't have time to make supper before I had to run an errand for a family member. I went right to church from his home because the Daughters of Mary had their second meeting tonight. We met in the church where we had a recitation of the Rosary and sang a few hymns. After the church service we went downstairs to a meeting. I find the women to be very friendly. One woman remembered me from last month's meeting and sat with me. It was nice to be remembered. We had refreshments at the meeting so I'm calling the piece of cake and the cup of tea I had "supper". I always feel good when I attend these meetings. They fill a spiritual need that I have and I'm also getting to know some of the women in the parish. I look forward to next month's meeting.

A Long Day Tomorrow

It's very quiet here tonight. There's no TV, no music playing and the cats are sleeping. I plan to go to bed at a reasonable hour and to get up early so that I can clean the bathroom and vacuum the living room. I also need to take out the garbage. There's always some kind of a chore waiting to be done. I'll do the rest of the house on Friday because I have plans for the rest of tomorrow. On Saturday I'm hosting Pinochle here. I will bake sometime before my friends arrive. I also need to pick up some beverages. Tomorrow will be a long day because I'm going away for the day with friends and in the evening I have a meeting at church. I hope that I make the meeting because the weather is good and I may miss some of the winter meetings when the weather is bad.

A Very Windy Day

Today is quite a windy day! The power was out for a few hours but it has been restored.
I returned home early this afternoon from taking Mom back home. The power was off when I got here. I'm thankful that it's on again. Now I can cook something for supper and will be able to turn on the lights when it gets dark outside. I'm going with 6 friends to visit 2 other friends in South Jersey tomorrow. We're going to meet at a tearoom. Some of these ladies haven't seen each other in years. It should be a very nice day. The weather will be good as well.

Good Report

Tonight I took Mom back to the doctor. He was pleased with her improvement. I guess I was a good "nurse" to Mom this week. He told us to just keep doing what we've been doing. I feel better now that I got out in the cooler evening air. It was too hot in the house today for me. Mom was comfy, however.
Unfortunately, we learned that her doctor is sick and will be out for the rest of the week. I'll put him on the prayer list. We all need all the prayers we can get.

Needing A Change

It was a long day today. I got up late which is very unusual. I went to 11:30am mass and brought my brother over for a visit. We ordered pizza and read the newspapers. I took him home about 3:00pm. I've been sitting here for awhile trying to decide what I want to do with my Living room. I wish I knew of someone who makes slipcovers because I'd like to have my couch done. The couch is in good shape I'm just tired of looking at it after having it for 15 years. Maybe the furniture needs to be rearranged? Everything seems so boring about the place that I need a change. Maybe the Fen Shui is all wrong in this room. Something doesn't feel right about it. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

A Great Show

We went to the Guild Quilt Show today. It was held in a very small building which is now a museum. The quilts were lovely. We enjoyed walking around looking at each one. My friends took 6 chances on the Raffle Quilt. It is truly a beauty. I also took 6 chances and found out today that I'll be given 5 more books to sell at our next meeting. There's no pressure though, because the drawing isn't for another year. I'd love for one of my friends to win the quilt. I'd love to win it myself. I think that it would look best displayed hanging on a wall. If I put it on a bed, the cats would sit on it. There's too much work put into it to let them sit on it and get their hair on it. I'd opt for a wall hanging display. Next year I will display a quilt in the show. I have an entire year to get one done. I just want it to look great when it's on display. I'm not as expert at quilting as some of the gals in the guild. However, I think that I could come up with something for next year. Keep your fingers crossed.

Change of Plans

Today didn't go as planned. The weather was cold and damp. There was no sun shining. It wasn't conducive to a ride in the country. We decided to go another day when the sun is shining and the leaves are in brilliant color. So, we relaxed at home. After being out in the cold, damp weather yesterday I was convinced that my cold might return. I woke up last night coughing a cough that was reminiscent of the cold I thought I just got over. I guess that fact was a deciding factor in cancelling our plans for the day. I do feel better now. The heat is on in the house. It feels good in here. I knitted for a brief while this evening. I wanted to try to see if I could knit mittens for the kids. I didn't like what I had done so I ripped it all out. I'll try again another day. I think I'll concentrate on the afghan until I get that done.

A Very Busy Day

Today was a very busy day!!! I went to the grocery store, the bank, BB&B, Michael's, and BJ's. In between all that I had my hair trimmed. After supper I drove to my brother's to give him some of the things I bought at BJ's. I've been home about 15 minutes now. I do still need to clean up the kitchen and change the litter box for the cats. After that is all done, I'll cast on the stitches for the last baby afghan I'll be making this year. I may even knit some of the first few rows before I go to bed. Tomorrow we're going to PQW, my favorite quilt shop. I'm taking Mom for a ride in the countryside as we wind our way to the shop. I hope that I can get the Jelly Rolls I want and the correct ruler for cutting the strips. I believe we may have showers tomorrow. The past 2 days have been overcast. I'd really like the sun to shine again. Maybe it will shine on Saturday when we go to the Guild Quilt show. That will be a nice outing. S. & D. will join me for that. I'm looking forward to it. When I was at the craft store, I bought the yarn for making my first Prayer Shawl. I will follow the pattern we were given for the first shawl, but the yarn came with another pattern for a shawl which I'll make the next time I do one. Well, let me get to the kitchen to clean up. The cats get my attention next, then it's on to knitting.
