A Trip To Our Favorite Stores
Today a friend and I visited our favorite stores. We went to a yarn shop (didn't buy anything), a quilt shop (didn't buy anything) and to a bead shop (didn't buy anything). It was fun to just look at what was new and exciting. I priced the lambs wool yarn I'd like to use to make a sweater some day. It's very expensive, $24. a skein. I need 7 skeins for the sweater. Let's put that on my wish list. Saw a cute pattern for a table runner or table topper for a friend. It's made up of the Dresden Plate which is also called the Friendship Circle. There were quite a number of varieties of that block in a particular book. Before I purchase another book, I've decided to check my Quilting Library to see is I have something with the same pattern. The book is $25. Let's put that on my wish list. The bead shop was interesting, but I spent the least time in that store. I haven't gotten fully into that hobby yet, so those things are easy to pass up. After perusing the stores, we stopped at the nearest Subway and had a sandwich and a drink. A welcomed bit of nourishment at 2:00pm, to say the least. Now, tonight, I need to catch up on a days worth of knitting. The afghan must be done by next weekend. It will be done by then.
