Today I met a friend for lunch. I had a cup of onion soup with half a grilled cheese sandwich. She had a cup of potato soup with a salad. They charge so much for their drinks that we both skipped ordering one. $2 for a bottle of water is way too much for me. Especially when you can buy 24 bottles for $4.99 at the grocery store. We had a nice lunch and caught up on each others news. I gave my friend the quilt I made for her granddaughter. I'm happy that it's on it's way to the child. Yesterday, I officially finished the 1st afghan. I pinned the label on it and will tack it in place tomorrow. It'll take 4 minutes, tops.
I got out the yarn for the 2nd afghan and will start that one tomorrow. I'm hoping that this one goes faster since I've done one already. The blue and yellow yarn look well together. Here's to another perfectly made afghan!

- Most people facinate me. I am a "people" person, although I am quiet and not the life of the party. My friends and my family mean a lot to me. I enjoy their company and would do almost anything for them. I like to watch the "Talking Heads" in the evening discussing politics or the news of the day. I am an avid quilter and belong to 2 quilt groups. I belong to a Mah Jongg group and am learning to play Bridge. I find that to be a real challenge. I love art and artistic things. I do a bit of painting, but am not very good at it. Piano music is one of my favorites. I play a bit and regret giving up lessons as a teen. Do still "tickle the ivories" upon occasion. Love to hear piano music in person. Love live classical music also. There are many things about life which I enjoy and like to share with like minded people.
