Family

The TV is off! I love the sound of the silence. All I can hear is the grandfather clock ticking. M. is reading a novel. Thank goodness for books. I visited FB earlier this evening. It helps me keep up with what my young relatives are doing. Ordinarily, I wouldn't be part of their lives on a daily basis because we live at a distance from one another and also because they are members of another generation, the younger generation. FB provides a glimpse into their lives. My cousin has posted several pictures of my first cousins and me at different family functions over the years. They have brought back many fond memories. We see the cousins, aunts, uncles and our own parents at a time which has now gone by. I wish we could have some of those gatherings again with the family picture taken at each event. We managed to have 2 family reunions. The last one was about 6 years ago. I think it may be time for another one. I wonder if there will be any takers?
