The Quilt Guild Meeting today was very interesting. We had a guest who showed us "Quilts From Around The World" with a slide presentation. She also had some of her personal quilts to show us. They were beautiful. She is a lecturer and an author. I purchased 2 of her quilt books which she signed for me. I hope to make one of the Fairy Quilts for my great niece some day.
After the meeting I had to go to the hospital to pick up my film for an MRI this weekend. After that I went to the bookstore to pick up a book which goes with the theme of the quilt I am making for a gift. I will present the book with a note about the quilt and announce it's arrival for a later date.

- Most people facinate me. I am a "people" person, although I am quiet and not the life of the party. My friends and my family mean a lot to me. I enjoy their company and would do almost anything for them. I like to watch the "Talking Heads" in the evening discussing politics or the news of the day. I am an avid quilter and belong to 2 quilt groups. I belong to a Mah Jongg group and am learning to play Bridge. I find that to be a real challenge. I love art and artistic things. I do a bit of painting, but am not very good at it. Piano music is one of my favorites. I play a bit and regret giving up lessons as a teen. Do still "tickle the ivories" upon occasion. Love to hear piano music in person. Love live classical music also. There are many things about life which I enjoy and like to share with like minded people.
