A Crystal Ball

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if there was such a thing as a crystal ball which could foretell the future? I wonder if it would be foretelling things which would be fixed in time or if one would have the power to effect changes in the future? If you didn't like what was predicted you could still do something about it. That would be the only type of crystal ball I'd want to foretell my future. Like Scrooge asked the ghost of Christmas to Come. " Are these the things that will be or are they the things that might be?" Remember how that story turned out? If it gave us the ability to make things better or turn them around I'd be all for it.
