The New Cat Bed

Today I bought Sandy a new cat bed. He's stepped in it a few times but hasn't settled down for a nap in it yet. I'm hoping that he begins to like it because then maybe he'll stay off of the furniture and I won't have to vacuum it so often. I'm also trying a new litter box which has a lid. The saleswoman suggested that I let Sandy use it without the lid for a few days. When he's used to using it, then I can put the lid on it and hopefully, using it will have become a habit. Both of these new Cat articles were not cheap. If he doesn't use them I'm going to be annoyed.
