A Chick Flick

Tonight, a friend and I went to see "Evening" at the movies. We both enjoyed the show. There were a few lines which resonated with me. One in particular line said by Ann, played by Vanessa Redgrave, was "Where did my life go?" I've often had that same thought since I've reached senior citizen age. There are so many years behind me. They seemed to have gone by in a flash. They were full years. I hope that I still have "full" years ahead of me. Another line said by Meryl Streep's character was that after awhile it doesn't matter any more. Meaning things we worried about when we were young or things that were so important to us at that time don't matter any more. Now when you look back after a full life, those things don't matter any more. All the life crisis' which occurred in my youth can be summed up with "Time does heal all wounds." Thank you, God. "There are no mistakes", is another line which has much meaning now. Life has unfolded according to God's great plan for me. I may not understand why it's unfolded as it has, but it wasn't a mistake that it did. I can honestly say at this point in my life that I have no regrets. Hopefully, God willing, I'll have many more years ahead of me. I wonder what lies ahead?
