Tips and Tidbits
Today I took a quilting class called "Tips and Tidbits". It was very informative. My favorite quilt teacher taught us all her "tricks of the trade" so to speak. She also showed us examples from her own finished quilts. She has one advantage when it comes to machine quilting. She has a Long Arm machine for doing the tops of her quilts. A Long Arm machine can run from $10,000 for a manual machine to $40,000 for a computerized model. I don't think that I will ever have this type of machine in my future. If I did, I'd be turning quilts out quickly. Whenever I go to a quilt show it's always fun to look at and try these machines. Another problem I'd have is where would I put one in my small condo. I'd need a bigger house for such a machine. So, I'll just be content to sew on my regular size machine and continue to hand quilt my tops or if I find extra money, send them out to be quilted.
