We watched the Belmont today. Rags to Riches won the race. It's the first time in 105 years that a filly has won that race. Rags to Riches was Mom's pick. It was very fitting that Mom should win because today is her 83rd birthday. She won a lottery ticket which did not pay off. It was exciting to pick the winner of the race. My horse Curlin came in second.
Horses are such beautiful animals. I love watching them race, or just watching them. I'm reminded of the days when I rode horses at Fox Chase stables. It was such a nice time of my young life. Yes, horses and cats are my favorite animals. I have a cat. Wish I could have a horse.

- Most people facinate me. I am a "people" person, although I am quiet and not the life of the party. My friends and my family mean a lot to me. I enjoy their company and would do almost anything for them. I like to watch the "Talking Heads" in the evening discussing politics or the news of the day. I am an avid quilter and belong to 2 quilt groups. I belong to a Mah Jongg group and am learning to play Bridge. I find that to be a real challenge. I love art and artistic things. I do a bit of painting, but am not very good at it. Piano music is one of my favorites. I play a bit and regret giving up lessons as a teen. Do still "tickle the ivories" upon occasion. Love to hear piano music in person. Love live classical music also. There are many things about life which I enjoy and like to share with like minded people.
