Too Far Away To Help

Mom's in pain. She said that she can hardly walk. Her knee is hurting and the pain is shooting down her leg. I suggested that she try using the heating pad for the pain. That seems to be helping, but it still hurts when she walks. Hopefully, by resting her leg over night, the pain will subside by morning. My frustration is that I'm too far away to help. She is at least one hour and a half away which wouldn't be too bad except for the tremendous amount of traffic I'd encounter to get there. We made an appointment with her doctor for Friday. Maybe she'll agree to knee surgery. We'll see.
