Spending A Day With A Friend

What a beautiful day today was. I met a friend and former colleague in the quaint town of Clinton. We had tea and caught up on news. Then, we visited a Bead Shop in town. It was just like being "little" and going into a penny candy store. One bead was more beautiful than the next. Which beads would we choose? What a hard decision! Then, we looked at the samples of necklaces which were on display to show what you'd make if you signed up for a class. We picked a "bubble " necklace as our favorite and signed up for that class at the end of the month. Having decided what piece of jewelry we'd make narrowed our choices of beads solving what was first an overwhelming decision. We were given a supply list and my friend and I went about the task of choosing our beads. We chose 2 different colors of Seed Beads and 1 color of Magnatama beads. Our next choice would be the neutral colored thread we'd string the beads with. My beads have silver, green, and a multi-colored hue to them. My thread is gray. The proprietor told me that those colors would make a beautiful finished product. I'm looking forward to my first jewelry making class and hope that after the class is done I can make the same item on my own. What a beautiful gift to give someone, A personally make piece of jewelry for a special friend or relative.
