The Quiet Man

It's not St. Patrick's Day, when they usually play The Quiet Man, but it's on just the same. I always enjoyed this movie. It stars John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara along with Barry Fitzgerald and his brother who I think is named Shields. Ward Bond and several other familiar faces grace the screen. The setting is Ireland. A country I loved visiting twice. Would love to visit again some day. I understand that there have been many changes since I was last there almost 30 years ago. I loved the people I met there. I had the best Irish Coffee I ever had in Macroom where some of my ancestors came from. That town is in Cork. It is my dream to visit the old sod again and to see some of the places I missed the first time.
