Our Luncheon

Yesterday afternoon was the day of the retiree luncheon. Many of my former colleagues attended. It was very nice to see so many people I've know for almost 40 years. I saw the person who hired me for the job which became my career. Our master of ceremonies was a former administrator who seemed to shine in his new role as the organizer of this year's luncheon and still being "in charge". His taking over was a relief for those of us who have been retired longer than he has been retired. It's always nice to have someone else step up and do some of the work. I look forward to Sept. when we resume our monthly breakfasts and are able to stay current with the lives of our friends and former colleagues.
