Happy Birthday, John

Today would have been John F. Kennedy's 90th birthday. I wonder how different the past 44 years would have been if he had lived? Would we have had the same involvement in Vietnam? If not, then many of our friends and family who did serve may not have had to. Would they be different people today? Would we be different if we hadn't lost someone as a result of that war? We will never know and can only speculate. If it's true that what's meant to be will be, then it's a waste of time to speculate. Most people try to make the "best" of what life has dealt them. It's not easy and as someone once said, "life isn't fair" or to put it another way, "I never promised you a rose garden."
