Good Morning, Early Morning

Today is starting early. Much like other days at home. I was awakened at 3:30am this morning by Sandy. Where is he now? Probably looking outside as night dwindles down. Where will he be shortly? Sleeping on a Queen Anne chair as the sun comes up. Where will I be? Drifting in and out between sleep in the recliner and watching and hearing the early news programs on the tv. I'm amazed by how easily I wake up these days almost fully awake and not drowsy. In about an hour or so I will start to slip back into sleep lulled by the sound of human voices reading the news of the day. Coffee is a welcomed refreshment at this early hour. Breakfast will be saved for a bit later, when the sun has risen. It's going to be an important day for me. I will visit the SS office and apply for benefits to start in a few months as I turn 62 and am definetly defined as a senior citizen. My age number is high, but I still feel like I did when I was 26. I guess the old adage is true. You're as young as you feel.
