The Twenty-One Dollar Hairdo
Going to the hair salon requires time and worst of all, a small fortune. When I added up the cost of what I wanted my hairdresser to do with my hair, I realized it would cost me $150 plus a tip. In an attempt to avoid such a high price I decided to go to the local beauty school to have my hair done. The young gal did an excellent job. Her teacher was practically standing by during the whole process. I felt confident that this was not going to be a mistake which I'm happy to say, it wasn't. My hair looks great and I don't feel like I was "robbed". You see, I've begun to measure the price of things by how many hours I need to work to pay for them. If it requires more than one day's labor, it's no longer worth it. Why is the cost of things like this more than a days work? Doesn't seem fair.
